Stop Overeating without triggering your addiction

Comfort-5.png

Before I recovered for good, everything I did to stop overeating triggered my addiction voice.

Counting points and calories.

Tracking every step, run, and minute of sleep.

Following restrictive diets and complicated recipes.

Eating food-like substances that came in boxes and shelf-stable packages.

All of this intensified my all-or-nothing thinking. And it all left me feeling hopeless and demoralized.

When I learned that stopping overeating was about detaching from addiction voice (urgent, punishing, restrictive, black-and-white) and listening to the voice of my Highest Self,– that’s when I started to get somewhere.  Somewhere that felt empowered instead of exhausted. Strengthened by this work, instead of weakened by it. And to the weight and relationship with food I wanted, instead of detaching further and further from myself.

If you’re sober and still dieting, let’s talk. There’s a better way, and you can do it.
