Overeating in Sobriety Ends Here
If you’re sober and struggling with food, you’re not alone.
This is an issue for so many of us who have overcome life-threatening addiction to drugs and alcohol (and cigarettes, and gambling, and sex, and- and- and-); but end up transferring our addictive thoughts, feelings, and behaviors to food.
“At least it’s not alcohol,” we hear from well-meaning fellows and friends.
“I’d rather be chubby than drunk.”
“You won’t get a DUI from cake.”
“At least you’re weight doesn’t threaten your home or your job.”
YES. And – totally appropriate when we’re in the first months or years of initial sobriety.
But there comes a time - when our sobriety is established - and we aren’t eating instead of drinking, we’re eating instead of 𝘨𝘳𝘰𝘸𝘪𝘯𝘨. We’re eating instead of 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨. And we’re eating because we 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘭 𝘴𝘵𝘶𝘤𝘬 once again in addictive thinking and behaviors and we don’t know how to get unstuck.
This was my story, and the story of clients who come to Sober&Hungry for the solution to overeating in sobriety.
After decades of addictive food behavior in sobriety, I lost 60 pounds and have maintained it with a level of sanity and freedom I didn’t think was possible.
For over two years, I’ve worked with over 100 fellows to help them achieve the same (many have lost 50+ pounds).
I’m now thrilled to offer the brand new Sober&Hungry Food Freedom Jumpstart program. If you’re looking for customized 1:1 support and an effective weight loss toolkit, you’ll find it here, at an accessible price.
You can learn about it - what’s included, price, and how to sign up today - through the link in bio. I’m excited to get you started on your journey out of overeating, and into food freedom ☝🏽
