Emotional Sobriety and Cravings

When you experience a craving, two things are happening:⁣

1. a physical sensation in the body AND⁣
2. your emotional response to those sensations.⁣

We spend a lot of time and money and energy trying to control the physical.⁣ It doesn’t work – it’s not supposed to.⁣

Our power lies in our emotional response to what’s happening. Notice where you’re demanding comfort even though your body needs to experience some discomfort in order to change:⁣

“My body is uncomfortable right now.”⁣

𝘛𝘩𝘢𝘵’𝘴 𝘰𝘬.⁣

“I want something that I’m not getting.”⁣

𝘐𝘵’𝘴 𝘰𝘬.⁣

“I’m not doing anything to change the way my body feels right now.”⁣

𝘐𝘵’𝘴 𝘰𝘬.⁣

𝗪𝐞’𝐫𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐱𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐩𝐡𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐭.⁣

We’re allowing our bodies to feel exactly as they do in this moment.⁣

This is the small quiet room of acceptance.⁣

This is the 4th-dimention experience of serenity with food. ⁣
